Every week, did you hear, and everyday this week we're getting you ready for TV's biggest night, the Emmy Awards. In front of me is millions of dollars with the jewels that will shine on the red carpet on Sunday and next to me is the man who brought them, celebrity stylist and jewellery expert, Michael O'Connor.

Thank you it's good to see you, good to see you as well. So happy you're here, so happy these are here too. These are jewels that will actually be on stars on the red carpet on Sunday. Most of them will find a home on a celebrity on the red carpet this Sunday. Who's going to wear what, tell me? No, not really. I would be killed, do you know that? Yes you will, and if I try to take that I’ll be killed because we have Ron the security guard. They really send a security guard, there's Ron, it's true. We're not kidding, some of the trends we're going to see on, okay Ron we got it, all right what are some of the trends were going to see on the carpet?

Actually before we get to the trends, let me tell you I have one very special piece, that you really, really need to see and I have a celebrity model. Oh a celebrity model, yes celebrity, lovely and let me tell you about this piece this piece is a two million dollar piece, platinum and diamonds, it was actually worn by Angelina Jolie on the tourists, actually Robert Prokop who is the jeweller actually searched the world to find something like this. This is for you Ron, amazing it fits on my neck so beautifully, this is great, now let me just tell you, first of all let's start started with there because we talked about platinum. Platinum is really no stranger to any red carpet because it is a naturally white metal and is always going to make the diamonds and gemstones look great.

These are all platinum by the Platinum Collection, okay this is oh yeah in the choker, this is gamoo Chien this is Michael bond Anza, these are Brenda Smith and this beautiful ring here is quickbuy super fit, because it actually Taylor makes the size. - Wow unbelievable, he said Angelina Jolie wore what you're wearing. What's going to be the trend for Sunday? Well certainly colour is a very, very, big, big thing. We're seeing that on a lot of runways and these are natural coloured gemstones and natural coloured diamonds by Underwood's in Fayetteville Arkansas. Really amazing pieces, we have these gorgeous earrings to go with it and of course one of the amazing pieces is this beautiful blue opal, very rare blue opal, which is the spectrum Award winner this year by John Ford.

Absolutely amazing, this is worth probably somewhere neighbourhood of half a million dollars. Already so for something like this, you would wear a simple dress because you want the jewellery to stand out wouldn't you? Well like black, I'm all about more, as more, as more, we have another celebrity model, we have another celebrity model, yes in a beautiful piece by 44 carats of diamonds. That black diamond alone is 36 karats, Wow an amazing piece, you know have really been in making a big comeback, so this one here by Diwali. I'm here, this necklace was here by Diwali would be beautiful on any necklace, on then any neck. You know perhaps somebody like Helen Mirren would be perfect and then black diamond slices. Now these are again natural coloured diamonds, this is the pure Naturals collection by Khiladi and the ring that Garcelle is wearing, is actually the match to these earrings.

These are by shaft L diamond, alright quickly show us what's left because we're running out of time and this is a beautiful piece by jewellery by Gail, totally handmade. This is Susan Eisen couture collection, we've got these gorgeous pieces, the Leo diamond which is the only diamond certified to be visually brighter by an independent source and of course we can't forget about the man, we've got the gorgeous people, this is the ladies Rado Hamilton watch but we also have one last celebrity guest what I think they're going to toss to your celebrity guests with the beautiful job.

Fine Jewellery - Fraser Ross

Hello glamazons, it's me and this is going to be a jewellery video. I apologize I’m a little under the weather, jerks at work come in sick and they spread their germs. Anyway this is not a haul video, this is a styling video. I was going to come on camera but I’m too sick. So this is a video about minimalist jewellery or what I feel is minimalistic. Some jerky guy left the comment, it's like do you know what minimalism is? Oh my god yeah, there are a lot of men who are bothered by my jewellery collection and then there are some people who think all I wear is big, obnoxious you know stuff.

They don't realize my collection is really huge and I have a little bit of everything, honestly. So I plucked just a few minimalist pieces from my fine jewellery collection. So let's just jump into it, everything is real and I’m not going to go into detail because the video is going to take a long time, but everything in this video is very, very small okay. So it's what I consider a minimalist, so this was custom and it says number one sister, this is another custom piece, these are solid gold, the bear is rose gold. So you know this is something I would wear if I want to be very, very understated. Here's one, this is a gold angel and she's got a little diamond in the centre. I hope you guys can see that. She's on a gold chain again everything's very, very small and I’ve been collecting jewellery for over ten years, so if you don't like this sort of video please watch something else.

This is tri-coloured gold, I hope you guys can see it. They're very small, pendant here's a little diamond piece and I’m sure these objects are filming larger than they are, but you just have to trust me when I say they're very small. This one is a ruby set with three little diamonds on a gold chain. So these are the jewellery pieces I would reach for if I were feeling more understated. Here's a diamond piece set in gold and then here's my other diamond set in gold and here, if I can get it open, is a diamond suite that I never ever wear because I’m like terrified to wear it. This was left to me from my grandmother, let me, yeah so it's the diamond necklace with the matching little earrings set in gold.

Okay and let me be really careful when I move this stuff because if I lose anything I’d freak out. So give me one moment and we'll continue. Okay so now I’m just going to pluck random items. Here you guys have seen some of this stuff before this is just a very, very slim tiny gold chain bracelet. This has four Swarovski crystal balls at the end, so nothing special but again very minimalist. Here is a necklace that I reach for, it is sterling silver and it's an etched bar. These necklaces are pretty popular, I’m sure you guys have seen people with these.

It's a very slim bar necklace, mm-hmm okay so here is another gold and diamond piece. Now what you're looking at is a bracelet and a choker, see these are the diamonds, I have them hooked together. As you can see the hooks there so this one is the bracelet and one of the diamonds fell out so I have to get that fixed and this one is the choker with the diamonds in it and it looks super long but again that's because I have both hooked together.

I have to take that to the jeweller. I have to find the right diamond to fit in there, yeah some of the stuff you guys have seen, some you haven't, these are just small very, very small silver hoops. Again very, very basic, very, very minimalist, let me see if I can lower that, my phone froze. Okay continuing on, continuing on, I have two bracelets, here these are gold and ruby bracelets, they're very, very skinny, very minimalist, very small. I don't really wear these often. Here is a little teeny little silver charms bracelet, you can see the little charms on there, again it's very, very small, dainty so that's another piece.

Here's a diamond and gold bracelet again, very, very delicate, very, very small. They don't wear that often, i don't really reach for the minimalist pieces very often. You guys know I’m obsessed with watches so this one is very old and it's solid gold. I think the bracelet, everything is solid gold, each I don't know if you guys can see that hallmark there but this is a 14-karat gold watch. I really keep this one locked up, I don't wear it often so that's that. All right there, let me let me see if I can zoom in on my little watch on the homework is at the top, there you guys may not be able to see that but there's a stamp right there, 14 karat gold.

I'm just randomly plucking things out guys, so this is no order here. I have another pair of minimalist hoops very, very skinny, I do wear these you don't really see them when you wear them and then the matching little teeny tiny hoops, these are literally like the size of a dime and you don't really see them but again this is like if you're going to church or at the hospital or something where you just want to wear something, maybe not even take it off. You know then they have this really skinny bracelet that is labradorite for me this is a minimalist piece, you know it's not a really big statement piece. If you ask me, never worn it actually but the labradorite, there's another one of those in here somewhere.

I'll have to find that, I’ve pulled out one of these. You guys have seen these everywhere, they're very popular little diamond bar bracelets, I mean necklaces. This is this necklace, sterling silver, you guys have seen those everywhere and then I have another one, that's the bar whoops it's backwards, it's a bar and it drops into a little teeny evil eye. So there's another one again, these are pretty popular now, so I’m sure you guys have seen these even in fake jewellery.

Here is a tiny little amethyst ring, my fingers are very tiny guys, so I wear a size six finger. Here's another little minimalist ring I need to hurry up, this one is minimalist for me, if I want to dress up this one is a midnight sapphire set in 10 karat gold. It looks black because of the black background but it's actually a dark navy blue. It's pretty ornate too, I don't know if you guys can see the hallmark, in let me see yeah, there you can see it's 10 karat gold. I like to stack this one with other rings, here's another minimalist ring very, very cute, slim sterling silver. You can see the stone is like just floating in there, yeah see it's very cute. I may have to break this up into two parts. Here's another one that I consider minimalist it's very, very thin and you just slide it on like that. Very cute, I mean this is a necklace i literally had on yesterday and sterling silver, so here's a sterling silver chain and it's a little laura moore pendant.

So I got this years ago, the bail is late the bail likes to flip upside down in this pendant and i don't know why, there you go, me a little alarm or a pendant and I had this on yesterday. It's very sweet, it's very cute, oh there's a lot of earrings down in here, another minimalist ring. This one needs to be clean but it's black spinel, it looks like a little black diamond, natural gemstone. I do wear that a lot this is one of my jade pieces and it is 14 karat gold and jade it's very sweet. Again this is more minimalist style jewellery, so you can't have a bit of a tangle here, guys give me one moment. Here's another bracelet with little charms. Very, very small, very dainty, jingles. I've never worn this, alright let me clear this pile, I’m going to have fun cleaning all of this up. I'm sure you guys have seen this one before, it's just a simple little pearl ring very, very simple but I may have to break this up into two videos. Sorry guys, yeah in fact you know what, I’m going to end this video here and then I will continue with part two later.

Silver Chains for Sale | Silver Charms | Silver Bracelets | Fraser Ross

Often you’ll hear people say that they are a “gold person” or a “silver person”, what they mean by this is their preference for colour of precious metal and what they believe suits them best. Silver and white gold are extremely close in colour, though silver is lighter in weight and considerably cheaper to purchase than white gold. The real reason one might choose silver chain over white gold is simply the price, because unless you’ve got both precious metals right next to each other telling the difference by just looking is actually very difficult to the untrained eye. Sterling silver does however, tarnish in time and exposure to certain elements, silver tarnishes much faster on people who live in hot climates or those who exercise regularly due to a chemical compound found in sweat that reacts with the metal and causes tarnish to occur. Tarnish says nothing about the quality of silver, even the Queen’s silver tarnishes from time to time but is regularly buffed and polished to perfection so you would never know. Tarnish isn’t a large problem and can be wiped away with a little help from a silver polishing cloth or a visit to the jeweller.

Gold jewellery doesn’t tarnish in the same way as silver jewellery does and it takes a to longer to become as obvious. Silver jewellery goes a dull grey in the worst parts of the tarnish and gold loses it’s beautiful gleam and slightly dulls in appearance. Taking your jewellery to a jeweller to have it cleaned every 6-12 months is a fabulous idea, they can clean your chain completely free of tarnish and debris and they can also examine whether there are any signs of wear that need to be addressed.

We stock a huge range of sterling silver chains in many styles which we can make to any length, this means you can have the design (and precious metal) of your choice made into a bracelet, anklet or silver necklace to the exact length that will fit you perfectly. In addition to our necklaces, we have silver bracelets to mix and match to create a matching set. Our silver charm bracelets have been selected for their open link styles, making attaching and wearing charms easier for these chosen styles.

These styles are typically long curb, cable and belcher chain styles, the larger, open links allow for easy fitting of charm jump rings to hold your charms in place. Belcher chains are one of the most suitable and the smaller widths have more links per inch so you can add even more charms to a finer bracelet. We range over 4600 charms (and always growing), order some silver charms and a bracelet and we will send you the finished product made just for you and ready to wear. We offer this service with all chains and charms so you can wear your design straight away.

Silver Bracelets Chains Made in Australia - Fraser Ross - Call Us : 13004CHAIN

Silver bracelets are a great way to show off your unique style, and Fraser Ross wants you to know that we have the very best sterling silver chain jewellery in Australia. Silver and gold have always been the most coveted precious metals in the world, but there's something different about silver that draws people to it. Maybe it's the rich history of silver, or perhaps some people are mesmerized by the legend behind it. Whatever the reason, silver is sure to remain highly popular with collectors and consumers alike.

The History Of Silver

Shortly after the discovery of copper around 4200 B.C., silver began to be used as a currency in ancient civilizations. Gold had been discovered nearly a thousand years before. The epicenter of silver production was around Greece and Crete, but some locations in the East were seeing spikes in the amount of silver being unearthed. The silver mining capital of the world became Spain in about 100 A.D., and a wealth of countries were discovered to have silver from 750 A.D. to 1200 A.D..

In 1492, the largest discovery of silver deposits was made in the New World. Silver mining exploded from there, and soon 85% of the world's silver production was on the North American continent, particularly in Mexico. Parts of Central and South America were also crucial to the world's silver supply in countries like Peru and Bolivia. Today, the world's silver mines produce over 671 million troy ounces yearly.

The Legend Of Silver

Have you ever wondered where the mysticism surrounding silver came from? Many cultures believed that silver had properties that could repel monsters and evil spirits. The most famous silver myth is the “silver bullet” that could kill a werewolf. It was also said to be able to kill witches and oust vampires masquerading as humans.

Many goddesses in various cultures are depicted with silver arrows or are associated with silver in some other way. The Greek goddess Artemis is one good example, but Hindu and Islamic goddesses also use silver as a calling card. It's even said that Egyptians considered their bones to be made of silver, whereas their skin was made of gold.

Buy Affordable Silver Bracelets | Fraser Ross

Can you buy affordable silver bracelets without sacrificing quality? Of course you can! At Fraser Ross we only stock the highest quality precious metal bracelets and our prices are so affordable you’ll practically jump for joy.

When you purchase a silver bracelet you are buying something truly unique and special, silver has a magical gleam and glimmer that captivates all who cast their eyes upon it. Silver possesses grace and subtlety not to be seen in its beautiful gold counterpart, which is why a lot of buyers choose silver over gold.

At Fraser Ross we offer a variety of pre-made silver bracelets in varying lengths but you also have the option to customise your chain to a specific length. We carry a large variety of chain styles as well:

Curb chains are an old favourite and are often selected for people who want a little bit of extra sparkle in their lives. The way curb chains are bevelled offers more surface area and angles for the beautiful silver links to throw any light that hits them.

Belcher chains have alternating, circular links that are a popular choice as charm bracelets or locket bracelets. They’re also a popular choice as necklaces because of their sturdiness and ability to hold a heavier pendant.

Cable chains are the belcher chains delicate little sister, so they aren’t really suited to holding pendants but they do look fabulous on their own and layered with other bracelets of varying thickness.

Figaro chains reached their popularity among Italian Men as bracelets and necklaces but are equally as popular with women as charms bracelets as their links are sturdy enough to hold a decent amount of charms. You can also wear them plainly and enjoy their beautiful links as they are.

If you aren't sure of which chain size to buy for your silver bracelet, try using our helpful sizing guide or call one of our friendly representatives. We look forward to helping you buy your next silver bracelet!

Sterling Silver Bracelets, Bracelets in Sterling Silver | Jewellery by Fraser Ross

Silver is so popular worldwide especially when it comes to precious metal jewellery, that’s why we’ve got the best silver bracelets for sale in Australia right here at Fraser Ross. You might be wondering why we think our precious metals bracelets and jewellery are the best, but let us tell you a little bit about ourselves first.

Chain Me Up rebranded themselves as Fraser Ross in 2016 and is one of Australia’s premier precious metal chain and jewellery businesses. Ross Fraser worked at a precious metal chain manufacturer for several years and was inspired to start his own business selling high quality chains at affordable prices after being bombarded with requests from family and friends to purchase these chains at the manufacturer’s price.

Like any business Chain Me Up took off after a lot of hard work and dedication, with only precious metal chains being available at first. We now offer one of the widest selections of any online jewellery store, with over 4,600 designs in our charm section alone. Our selection of precious metal jewellery includes necklaces and bracelets, bagels, earrings, zodiac jewellery and so much more.

We are a humble company but we won’t deny that our silver bracelets are some of the most stunning you will find in Australia. The beautiful sparkle of our 925 sterling silver has attracted people from far and wide to our online store and we offer the best quality silver chains. You won’t find any artificial or inferior jewellery in our arsenal, all of our jewellery is the real deal here, it’s no wonder we’re turning heads in the Australian and worldwide jewellery industry.

We offer three main types of chains in silver bracelets; figaro, curb and belcher chains. Our diamond cut Curb chain is very popular because it’s bevelled in a way that allows it to catch and throw more light and appear very sparkly when worn. Each chain is suited to specific uses, the figaro chain, for example makes a great charm bracelet because of its open link style that allows charms to be attached easily.

You can check out our full selection of silver bracelets for sale at our online store. Got questions? Contact us using our callback service, and we'll help you out in any way we can!

We have a huge range of quality solid gold jewellery for men and women in our store.

Shop for Silver Chains - fraserross.com.au

The next time you buy silver chains, make sure you're getting quality precious metals by buying from Fraser Ross. If you're wondering what makes us so great, just wait until you see the many options you have to choose from. We could talk your ear off all day about how awesome our silver chains are, but we want you to know for yourself how you can spot a quality silver chain.

Pure Silver vs. 925 Sterling Silver

“Pure” isn't really as pure as you think it is. Pure silver contains %0.01 copper. 100% pure silver doesn't exist in the world of jewellery, and in order to make jewellery chains, rings and other designs, other precious metals need to be added to hold them together. This is why sterling silver, often called 925 sterling silver, contains only 92.5% silver (hence the name) to provide a firmer chain. Pure silver is too soft and malleable to be used solely for jewellery making.

#1 – Real Silver Will Leave Marks

Don't freak out if you see black marks on your jewellery polishing cloth. This is the mark of real sterling silver. Oxidization causes sterling silver to tarnish, and even the most cared for silver will eventually deteriorate.

#2 – Use A Magnet

Silver is metal, and magnets attract metal, right? Well, in the case of silver, magnets should have no effect. If you find that there's a mysterious attraction between your silver chains and a household magnet, you've been duped. The silver is a fake.

#3 – The Nitric Acid Test

Don't worry! Nitric acid doesn't have any effect on silver... as long as it's real, that is. Fake sterling silver will become discolored when nitric acid makes contact with it. Just be careful when you use it; wear goggles and gloves. Remember: nitric acid is still acid!

#4 – Follow Your Nose

Smelly, dingy jewellery is a good sign that your precious metal silver isn't quite so precious. Real silver doesn't have a bad smell to it, or any smell at all, in fact. An odor on a piece of jewellery is most likely because the piece has too much copper in it, which tends to smell.

#5 – Find The Mark

Real 925 sterling silver will always have a sort of 'brand' on it, such as the letters “Ster” or another indication of its quality. If you find that your sterling silver doesn't have any indicator on it, you may have a piece of fake jewellery on your hands.

You can test Fraser Ross silver chains all day, but you won't find a single piece of fake jewellery amongst our selection. That's the type of quality we pride ourselves on, and we intend for it to stay that way.
